First Firefox OS Running Tablet Leaks Out [Image and Specs]

It seems the Firefox OS powered tablet is already on its way to market. Mozilla's very own software developer Asa Dotzle via a blog post revealed the tablet late yesterday. The person who had a greater hand in developing the Firefox browser, has disclosed the specs of the device and also an image that shows how the slate looks like.

Manufactured by Foxconn, the slate which is in fact codenamed Flatfish is apparently a low-end tablet built by the contract manufacturer. The prototype device that Mozilla received from Foxconn is actually one they build for someone else.

The alleged tablet comes packed with a 10.1 inch IPS display offering a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

The first Firefox OS running tablet will be powered by a quad-core 1GHz Allwinner CPU that uses the ARM Cortex A-7, with a PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU. Also 2GB of RAM is used for smoother performance. It comes with an on board memory of 32GB along with a microSD slot for memory expansion.

The tablet comes with a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing snappers which is quite competitive if compared to other tablets available in the market.

But sadly, this tablet only features Bluetooth and a WiFi 802.11b/g/n support.

The tablet which measures 266mm x 170mm x 9.7mm draws its energy from a 7000mAh battery.

It's an Infocus New Tab F, a low-end 10-incher that has sold on sites like AliExpress in the US for around $150.

There is no information pertaining to the availability of the device and the official price as well.
