Facebook is currently testing adding GIF and attachment buttons to its service. Though, all users do not have it yet, a few have users have noticed the feature.

According to a report by The Next Web, If you open up a chat window on Facebook.com, the new icons will appear next to the old send money, photo, and stickers buttons. In addition, these will also appear below the text instead of to the right of it.

When you click on the GIF icon, it will show you a  list of GIFs which appear to be selected at random along with a search box which indicates one is searching for them on ‘GIFS & stickers across apps.’ The report added that the GIF support is also notable as even on mobile, one would have to download a separate integrated app like Giphy before searching and sharing GIFs.

The company has also changed the notification sound when one gets a message. The sound is said to be a little more ‘bubbly’ instead of the old quiet pop. As of now, Messenger mobile has not received an attachment button, for GIFs, but there is a search icon added instead that appears below the text box.
