Facebook and Microsoft Partner to Bring Messenger App to Windows 10 Mobile

Recent leaked screenshots and a video give an insight into what the new Facebook Messenger app will look like on Windows 10 Mobile. Last October, Microsoft launched Surface Pro 4 and Lumia 950, which featured Windows 10 Mobile for the first time. Back then, it also announced that it has partnered with Facebook to develop universal apps for Messenger and Instagram.

Now, after five months, WindowsBlogltalia has revealed screenshots and a video of the social media giant’s upcoming messenger app for Windows 10 Mobile, reported VentureBeat. The leaked screenshots and video does not show much other than the user interface, which looks pretty nice.

Facebook confirmed that the new Messenger app is still being tested. The leaked video and screenshots provide just a glimpse of what the new app will look like in Windows 10 Mobile. The main features of Messenger include instant notification, support for GIFs and videos, and the option to create chat groups.

Currently, only a beta version of the app is available. It is unclear when the social media giant will launch it’s the full version on Windows 10 Mobile. Rumors suggest that Facebook may launch the new Messenger app at Microsoft’s developers conference scheduled for next month.
