Eros Now, the OTT platform of Eros International, has announced a distribution partnership with telecom service provider Vodafone India to integrate its service with Vodafone Play.

Users of Vodafone Play will gain access to Eros Now’s premium Bollywood content including latest blockbusters ‘Housefull 3’, ‘Dishoom’, ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.

Vodafone Play is an OTT app which aggregates content from other OTT services like dittoTV, Hooq and Hungama Movies. The OTT app is free to all Vodafone customers until 31 December.

Eros Now has a similar deal with Reliance Jio. As per the deal, the Eros Now service is available on the Jio On Demand entertainment offering. The initiative allows consumers to access Eros Now within the Jio ecosystem.

Said Eros Digital CEO Rishika Lulla Singh, “An important part of our digital strategy is to be platform-agnostic and we are delighted to partner with Vodafone, a leading player in its space. Joining forces with Vodafone, a prominent telecom service provider, offers us an opportunity to further strengthen our customer reach.”

Besides Bollywood, Eros Now offers a vast selection of audio and song videos, television content and Eros Now originals in the form of drama series with young and contemporary themes. While the app content can be accessed across 2G, 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi services, users can enjoy the viewing using 4G given its seamless internet capability.

Said Eros International president – business development Kumar Ahuja , “Eros Now has already garnered over 55 million registered users and 1.32 million paid users worldwide and we believe our integration with the Vodafone Play platform will further give momentum to our customer acquisition strategy.”

Vodafone Play is designed as a one-stop destination for Vodafone subscribers to enjoy streaming their favourite content, be it TV shows, the latest movies and music. Vodafone Play also offers a specially curated library of thousands of movies and other popular videos from a host of partners.
