In the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Board meeting held on Saturday (February 4), a series of major decision were taken, concerning various aspects related to the game. In principle, it was agreed at the Chief Executive (CEC) Meeting that there would be a consistent use of Decision Review System (DRS) across frontiers and formats.
The apex body's Cricket Committee headed by Anil Kumble will draw up plans to implement it in May. In all likelihood, the plan will be approved in June this year and is set to be rolled out by October.
Meanwhile, DRS also will be used in the ICC Champions Trophy to be held in England in June this year, for all televised matches at the ICC's Women's World Cup and for the first time in upcoming televised T20 WC tournaments. In the T20 WC, each team will get one review.
