Mobile wallet company Zeta launched a new plastic card for consumers with added safety features and advanced payment options. The Zeta Super Card has first-of-its-kind anti-fraud security measures like geo-tagging and dynamic PIN for authenticating payments.

The MasterCard powered Zeta Super Card can be applied for through the Zeta app or the Zeta website. The Zeta Super Card can be used by all consumers by simply transferring funds from their bank account or debit/credit card via the Zeta app.

“While demonetisation is a great push for the transformation into a cashless economy, the threat of digital transactions falling prey to
frauds can prove to be an impediment in the process. With India’s digital payments industry expected to touch $500 billion by 2020, it is essential that card payment systems offer completely secure methods to safeguard users from all possible threats. Recognising this need, Zeta has developed a more secure and convenient payments system that addresses the current loopholes in digital payments,” said Bhavin Turakhia, chief executive officer, Zeta.

The card has a super pin which changes for every transaction and hence adds a second layer of security to the transactions. Further there is an option by which the card cannot be used very far away from the mobile phone. The app matches the location of the card being used and the pin being generated. Only if they are close eniough the transaction will go through. Further to add ease of payments users can just swipe to authorise a transaction, instead of going for a static pin number.

“We recently witnessed the worst security breach in the country where 3.2 mn cards were compromised. To tackle such incidents in the future, we have developed India’s most secure payments system with Zeta Super Card. We have revolutionised payment security in India with superior features such as dynamic PIN and geo-tagging. The security features of the Zeta Super Card are linked to the mobile app, which sets it apart from other payments systems,” said Zeta Co-founder and chief technology officer Ramki Gaddipati.
