Dell continues to expand its Inspiron range with the latest addition to the series in the form of the Inspiron 15z ultrabook priced at Rs. 41,990 exclusive of taxes.

The ultrabook comes with a 15.6-inch LED backlit display (1366x768) and sports a stylish 21mm thin aluminium chassis that comes in Moon Silver or Fire Red colour variants, weighing in at 2.17kg. The Inspiron 15z runs on Windows 8, includes a built-in optical drive and an integrated 1-megapixel widescreen HD (1280 x 720) webcam. There's another touch version of the ultrabook measuring 23mm in thickness and weighing 2.46kg. This version is available in Moon Silver only.

The ultrabook is powered by Intel's 3rd generation Core i3/i5/i7 processors with RAM configurations available upto 8GB. It features Nvidia's GeForce GT630M 2GB DDR3 graphics unit. The device has a full-size standard backlit and spill resistant keyboard with multi-touchpad that features integrated scrolling & gestures to support Windows 8.

The Inspiron 15z comes with Intel Rapid Start Technology, Intel Smart Response Technology and a 6-Cell 44 WHr Battery that promises longer work hours. It also features Intel WiDi (wireless FHD 1080p / 5.1 surround) that allows users to share video & pictures wirelessly with their home entertainment system. Other connectivity options include Wi-fi and Bluetooth v4.0.

The ultra book also features Skullcandy speakers with Waves MaxxAudio4 audio processing for optimal sound quality. It supports multiple card slots and various ports include 3 USB 3.0, 1 USB 3.0 PowerShare, RJ45 Ethernet, HDMI v1.4a, headphone/microphone combo jack, Kensington Security Lock and AC Power-in ports.
