[QUOTEThe capital’s power regulator on Friday notified the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (Supply Code and Performance Standards) Regulations, 2017, under which consumers will get a compensation of Rs10 per kW per hour from the discom if they delay in restoring an outage for more than two or three hours.][/QUOTE]

Some people will call it Jumla, Joke, etc etc.

But this is a nice step by Delhi Govt and Central Govt. People will be benefited.

Welcome move by Delhi Government- Mr Kejriwal.Hope other states follow the same.In Kolkata we get electricity by private company which is quite good.Minimum powercut.

Center is bringing law so states are bound to follow it. India is a electricity surplus country so there should not be any power cut in first place. It's just few states discom don't buy power from power producing company because of poor financial health because of power theft

Since Delhi is a UT and not a state and since Delhi also houses the central govt, it becomes the 1st place to get the new law in effect. Other states will follow it
