Chandigarh, May 27: Delhi and Chandigarh retained the men's and women's team titles, respectively, by obtaining top positions in the round robin league in the 11th North Zone Carrom Championship at St.
Stephen's School in Sector 45 here today.
In the last league match, Delhi defeated hosts Chandigarh by 2-1 in the men's team championship and earned the top position while in the women's section Chandigarh made clean sweep against Delhi by 3-0 and earned the top position.
Results: Women Team Championship: Delhi bt Punjab 3-0 (Neha bt Manpreet Kaur 25-0, 25-0; Neha Sharan btJasveer Kaur at 25-0, 8-0; Abhida & Abhigya Rawat bt Harbinder Kaur & Parminder Kaur 24-0, 11-0).
