D-Link, the popular Taiwanese network
devices manufacturer, appears set to
launch its first Android tablet in India -
the D-Link D100 - as it has been made
available online via e-commerce sites.
Priced as low as Rs. 12,534, the D-Link
D100 tablet is up for purchase via
several third-party e-commerce sites in
the country. D-Link has not yet issued
any official press statement regarding
the launch of the tablet.

The single-SIM voice-calling D-Link
D100 tablet runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat
out-of-the-box and features a 7.85-inc
IPS LCD display with an HD resolution of
1024x768 pixels. It is powered by a
1.3GHz quad-core processor (unknown
chipset) coupled with Mali-400 MP2 GP
and 1GB of RAM.

The D-Link D100 sports a 5-megapixel
rear camera without flash and a 2-
megapixel front-facing camera. It
includes 16GB of inbuilt storage, which i
expandable via microSD card (up to
32GB).

Connectivity options on the D-Link D100
include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB,
GPS/ A-GPS, and OTG support. The
device packs a 4000mAh battery, and
can be purchased via eBay (Rs. 12,534),
Snapdeal (Rs. 13,304) and Flipkart (Rs.
13,545).

Earlier this month, AOC - which is known
for manufacturing computer displays -
had launched the AOC D70V50G tablet i
India at Rs. 7,750. The AOC D70V50G
tablet will be available in mobile retail
stores in metro and mini metro cities.
The company alongside also announced
the launch of the AOC E40 and AOC
M601 smartphones, which were already
revealed for the Indian market late last
year. The AOC E40 and AOC M601 have
been priced at Rs. 4,490 and Rs. 7,990
respectively.
