CREO , which promises to change the smartphone industry with software innovation, today announced it will launch its first smartphone in India on April 13. The Android smartphone, called Mark 1, will come with software features that the company claims will change how users use their phones. CREO, which is run by the same group that launched the Teewe dongle for televisions, is also
promising to offer monthly software updates , which will give users new features with every update.

Most smartphones fail to get timely updates that bring performance improvements, bug fixes and new features. CREO wants to hit that sweet spot by not only offering software updates, but also adding new features that are recommended by the user community.

Earlier this month, the company teased the CREO Mark 1 smartphone in a video that offered a glimpse at the smartphone’s design. The video shows off metal design, glass back and curved rims along the edges. The hardware buttons for power and volume control are present on the right edge and have a distinctive circular pattern. While the SIM and microSD card tray are present on the top left edge, the standard 3.5mm audio jack and microUSB port at placed on the top and bottom, respectively.
CREO has also announced that it will offer an engraving option where customers can have their name, anniversary date and more, embossed on the bottom left edge of the smartphone. You can try out the custom embossing option here .

Other information about the specifications, pricing and availability of the Mark 1 are scarce at the moment. However, with just a couple of weeks left for the launch, we will have to wait until CREO makes the Mark 1 official.
