One year out from the Commonwealth Games and Sky TV have confirmed they've won the rights to televise the Glasgow event.
Today marks one year until the start of the event which will feature around 4,500 athletes from 71 countries competing in 17 sports.
Sky Sport's coverage will include six channels of action and will "partner" with Prime to also offer some free-to-air coverage.
"The Commonwealth Games are always a magnificent occasion and Kiwis love watching other New Zealanders compete at global sporting events so it's great the Glasgow Commonwealth Games will be on SKY Sport," said Richard Last, SKY's Director of Sport in a statement this morning.
New Zealand Olympic Committee Secretary General Kereyn Smith said the Commonwealth Games are set for success.
"The venues in Glasgow will all be complete this year and our site visits indicate that preparations are on track for an outstanding celebration of sport," she said.
Around 200 New Zealand athletes are expected to compete in the Commonwealth Games that kicks off on July 23 next year.
The last Commonwealth Games were held in Delhi, India in 2010.
New Zealand first competed at the Commonwealth Games in 1930 and has won a total of 555 medals.
