MUMBAI: Now stay tuned to CNBC anywhere through its ‘TV Everywhere’ app. The new app which is part of NBCUniversal's ‘TV Everywhere’ cross-portfolio roll-out will provide live streams of the channel as well as video on demand content to subscribers of multichannel video providers that have inked deals for rights to the content. The app is currently available on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The Android version is expected to launch early next year.
The free, first generation app is a step in NBCUniversal's long-term strategy to provide both viewers and marketers a user-friendly way to engage with its content on multiple platforms.

For authenticated subscribers of participating cable, satellite and telco services, CNBC's new app offers live, real-time streaming of its unparalleled and award-winning business day programming. Subscribers also have access to complete on demand episodes of Mad Money w/Jim Cramer, The Suze Orman Show and CNBC prime programs including The Profit, The Car Chasers and American Greed.
CNBC soon will also roll-out a ‘Flip Forward’ feature that will allow for both instant replay and jump-back ability on desktop to return to the start of a live programme, enabling viewers to access the business news and information they need when they want it. In addition, CNBC will also add a ‘pop-out video player’ which will allow users to choose their own frame size and position when viewing live programming on desktop.
Currently subscribers to AT&T U-verse TV, Cablevision’s Optimum TV, Charter, Comcast’s Xfinity TV, Dish Network, Mediacom Communications, Suddenlink Communications, Verizon FiOS and Wide Open West (WOW) will have access on an authenticated basis to content on the app.
According to a report the desktop ‘TV Everywhere’ video consumption for CNBC programming has increased every consecutive month since becoming available in June 2013. In October, subscribers started the CNBC linear feed an average of 10 times, consuming 3.1 hours per person.
