Biplab Kumar Deb argued that if a civil engineer becomes an Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer, s/he can offer inputs in construction projects, which mechanical engineers cannot do.
Civil, not mechanical engineers, should opt for civil service: Tripura CM

Another joker who is confused between civil sercvices & civil engineer,Just matching "civil" word

Funny .it almost feels like same kind of claim as some other guy who claimed that Indian people were technologically advanced time even before Europeans in Stone Age

Don't blindly go by what the media writes these days - they just extract parts of the statement n manipulate it for their benefit and hide the full context. If I think about it (I have not read the news in detail), he probably was referring to some construction project, which if handled by a civil engineer, would certainly make sense rather than a mechanical engineer. We don't know the full argument here.

Do not go by the news what our private media is spooling out. They are just sensationalizing everything these days. I saw this on scroll.in which is famous for such activities.

Seriously, news censoring is the need of the hour, both in India & the world (in general). With lot of manipulated news & fake news, people are being fed with misinformation, hatred, fear, & what not.
