The Chrome for Android app update has popped up and is now being rolled out to users. The company has upgraded the browser to reflect a couple of features which include saving passwords and auto-filling fields.

After signing in to their Google accounts through a desktop as well as a handheld device, subscribers can gain access to their saved passwords on Android gadgets. The feature was initially available only on the desktop version of the browser. This would be ideal for those who have a tendency of forgetting the all-important secret codes.

The ever tiresome and monotonous task of typing in the same information over and over again can take its toll, especially when performed on a mobile device. And hence, the introduction of the second significant addition, which is the syncing of data that has been previously filled into the forms. Now instead of entering details repeatedly, customers can just allow the app to do it for them.

Fixes to certain issues have also been worked into this version, like the appearing of blank pages in some situations has now been repaired. Further to this, other stability improvements have also been made. For those who haven’t been using Google’s browser on their phones, a quick overview wouldn’t hurt.

It enables multi-tab surfing and there’s no limit to the number of tabs that users can have open at any given time. Moving between the tabs is anything but a task, as they can simply swipe across the screen to switch instantly. Additionally, consumers can just log in on their desktops and synchronize open tabs and bookmarks to their tablets or smartphones, without having to go through the entire process all over again.

Another aspect that saves on time as well as energy is the power to send web pages from a computer to a slate or handset, all by just a single click. Readers can even peruse those pages when they are not connected to the internet. For those who take their privacy very seriously, Incognito mode enables them to open up sites without having them recorded in the history.

In case users haven’t already received the Chrome for Android update, they will have to head over to the Play store and download the latest version. The developer points out to prospective consumers that this version will be seeking access to the Camera as well as Modify Audio Settings to support an experimental feature called WebRTC.
