Chris Gayle on Saturday achieved a
rare feat of becoming the first player
to hit 600 sixes and 600 fours in
Twenty20 cricket.
Playing for Melbourne Renegades,
Gayle hit two humongous in a Big
Bash League Twenty20 match
against Brisbane Heat to achieve the
landmark. (Also Read: Gayle Hopes to

The left-handed Gayle, in his knock,
also hit a couple of fours to take his
tally of fours to 653, but is behind
Australia's T20 star Brad Hodge, who
leads the way with 664 fours to his
name. New Zealand's Brendon
McCullum is the third in the list with
605 fours.
Gayle is way ahead in terms of six
hitting record with the next best
being that of fellow West Indian all-
rounder Kieron Pollard, who has hit
388 sixes. McCullum is on the third
spot with 290 hits over the fence.
