New Delhi: With the awful memories of the last year's floods still fresh in their mind, people in Chennai have begun preparations to tackle the worst situation in coming days.

The MeT Department has issued a cyclone alert for north Tamil Nadu and south coastal Andhra Pradesh, predicting heavy rainfall in the next 48 hours.
 
Rain is a blessing from god and when its in excess we have to accept it with a happy face and put it to good use. TN has to improve the water storage systems by increasing its water storing capacity and clear path to these.
If last years lesson isnt enough then only god has to help the people.
 
yes we not only need big buildings and national highways,
buy also need proper drainage and preserve our water resources.

every house hold should try to make construction for rain water harvesting.
