Celkon has launched the all new Millennium Vogue Q455 smartphone in India priced at Rs 7,999. At 7.9mm, it is sleek and joins the currentc rop of budget phones running Android’s latest KitKat flavour. At that price, the smartphone clearly aims to compete with the current budget fad – Moto E.
It sports a 4.5-inch display with 960 x 540 pixels of resolution. The handset is powered by a 1.2GHz Broadcom quad-core processor coupled with 1 GB RAM. It also gets 16GB onboard storage that is expandable up to 64GB via microSD card slot.
The company also stated it is planning to come out with over half a dozen products in the `Millennium’ smartphone series in the next fortnight. Tennis star Sania Mirza launched the ‘Millennium Vogue Q455′ model.
“We aim to sell 1 lakh handsets of this model in one month. Already, we have got 20,000 pre-bookings,” said Celkon Chairman and Managing Director Y Guru at the launch event.
“We are coming up with more products in the Millennium series and plan to launch at least 7 more phones in the next 15 days in the range of Rs 4,500 to Rs 12,000,” he said.
“We have launched the new Millennium Vogue Q455. Despite being the slimmest with 7.9 mm thickness amongst the Indian smartphone brands, it is packed with a 2000mAH battery. The Kit Kat-based Vogue comes with 1.2 GHz Quad Core CORTEX A7 processor,” Guru said.
