Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE), the licensing and merchandising division of Turner International India, has partnered with PepperScript Publishers to launch Cartoon Network comic books based on their classic franchises.

The comics, called Remix, are available for pre-order and will be sold exclusively through Amazon.in. PepperScript was appointed as the sole licensee in India to design, publish, and sell comics based on Cartoon Network's popular global franchises including Dexter's Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, Courage the Cowardly Dog and Adventure Time.

Targeted at teenagers, these comics aim to bring back fond memories of their childhood where these characters used to be an important part of their TV time.

Says Sanchit Goel of PepperScript, "PepperScript Comics is proud to associate with Cartoon Network Enterprises to bring back evergreen cartoons and create nostalgia for that genre of Indian audience who once used to love these characters."

Siddharth Jain, MD, South Asia, Turner International India adds, "Over the years, Cartoon Network has become synonymous with being the ultimate destination for the best cartoons.

By partnering with PepperScript to create comic books based on our classic franchises, we hope to reconnect with teens and adults who were avid consumers of our '90s shows."

"Children's books and books for young adults are some of the most popular books categories on Amazon.in. We are excited to be the partner of choice for PepperScript and be the first to offer our customers an opportunity to experience the Cartoon Network comic books," explains Samir Kumar, director, category management, Amazon India.
