Bro I think it's upon player mentality and attraction towards money
Coz you never hear teams like a aus eng or NZ player skipped national duty due to franchise cricket
Plus bcci gave our player Harry money so I don't think they think twice before opting out national duty for franchise cricket and I always think it's should be players decision always what to chose club or country.
And moreover different countries give different playing conditions which helps ultimately grow confidence like which helped us in last aus test series even with our 2nd string team we beat them ( a tour experience ) and our experienced batters thrashed due to lack of overseas experience in 1st test
