State-owned telecom company BSNL has released an exciting internet package which would leave customers stunned. BSNL is offering 20 GB of 3G data at Rs 50. The data can be shared with 4 other BSNL users residing anywhere across the nation. The scheme is being subsidized by Government of India, and is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Digital India.
The lucrative package offered by BSNL has created a buzz among mobile data users. While most of the leading telecom service providers offer 1GB of 3G data at nearly Rs 200 of prepaid cost, BSNL has grabbed eyeballs by offering nearly 20 times more data at 1/4th price.
To avail the benefits of scheme, BSNL users need to log onto BSNL mobile safe care portal and fill-in his personal details. In the online form, one would be asked to specify the four numbers who would share the internet data with him.
This scheme is set to boost internet usage in India. The number of BSNL card holders are also expected to rise. With the extraordinarily cheap internet package, BSNL is likely to give competition to private players who have snatched a major share of the telecom market.
According to BSNL General Manager Ram Shabd Yadav, this scheme would end up benefitting people from lower economic strata who are not able to afford mobile internet services. It is part of government’s agenda to push achieve 100 per cent internet access in the nation. The scheme would readily be availed by urban families as one internet package would be sufficient for all the users.
