BSNL engineers seek PM Modi's help to revive the ailing telco

I saw an interview of a BSNL executive on News Clickin YouTube channel. The guy was accusing Modi government of helping Jio a lot and not bothering about BSNL at all. He said Modi is a pro corporate guy who couldn't care less about them.

I doubt BSNL would do anything even if the PM does anything mainly because they have hired the most useless, laziest people for work who never care about anything other than the monthly salary that they're getting. They have absolutely no idea about what their work is and customer service is their last priority.

If possible i suggest the government to sack every single BSNL employee and liquidate this company and give their infrastructure to LCO's or someone who can utilize it.

This is absolutely true. BSNL technicians doesn't know basics. Central govt is wasting money on them. Whole day they sit and just pass time playing and roaming

when i was doing higher education, the guy was working in mtnl and he had said that time, they have equipment's lying in store however government bodies does not allow to use them and supporting the private players.
I guess same is the current state, if the government support and help them build infra, private players will have a hard time, so i don't think any government would do this. In past I had visited far interior places at times before 4g, i have received bsnl network in remote areas compared to private players, though not sure the current status.
Since we all knows the CC, i don't want to comment on it.

I too had First Hand Experience,I got reply from a technician that no feasibility in my area but 3 house from mine has managed a bsnl conection God knows how,They just enjoy central government jobs and home by 2 and bash others,Although came across one dedicated employee too

Nobody is denying there are good employees in BSNL but they are very few in numbers. The BSNL technician that came for installation when i first got my internet connection was a very nice guy who would come anytime i called him. I had constant issues when there were rains and the guy would come the same day evening to fix it. Other than him rest were aged auntie's who didn't know what downstream/upstream rate was and i had to be content with 3 mbps on my 4 megabit connection since the aunty was in charge of that and didn't agree to change it

What kind of support are you expecting ?

If govt gives 100 rupee BSNL has to use Rs 66 of that to pay salary whereas if a private operator get 100 from promoters it will spend only 5 rupee for salary. So how much you have for network expansion and customer experience ? For BSNL only Rs 36 whereas for private operators it's Rs 95.

So how do you match this huge difference ?

Mate its not only about the money, governance required at the same time. Anyways we can agree to some or disagree to some points.

The thread is all about money if I read the news correctly. Without money no spectrum, no 4G/5G equipment no customer service. So why will customer buy your sim ?

The lax attitude of Bsnl employees is the reason for it's downfall, I waited two months for a broadband connection, went to exchange many time for no avail. Finally got connection from local ISP and the same day bsnl employee shows up 😂😂😂 asking If I wanted a connection.
