The Passport is yet another attempt by BlackBerry to get back into the reckoning as the maker of premium, productivity-focused
communication devices targeting the high-end segment.

Does it succeed in its quest to
regain relevance in the highly-competitive mobile market? We try to find out in our review.

A number of corporations, particularly in the US, still use BlackBerry services for
communication as it offers an enhanced level of security due to data encryption and compression.

However, our main focus in this
review is not on the enterprise features, but the phone's usability.

Build & design In the sea of glass slabs, the BlackBerry Passport certainly has a distinct identity.

You can love it or hate it, but you
simply can't ignore it. It's as 'businessy' as a BlackBerry device can get, but the super-wide screen and the short keyboard surely make it look awkward.

People's reactions upon seeing the phone ranged from "it looks like a larger than life calculator," to "what is this, a phone?" to "look at that miniature laptop!"
