BlackBerry DTEK60 Android Phone Specifications Spotted on Company Site...
In the tech industry, it is becoming almost impossible to keep any device a secret till its official launch. The latest to join the list is BlackBerry's DTEK60. However, the company is itself to blame for the leak as according to reports, the smartphone's listing was accidentally made public by company's own website.
The details of the DTEK60 smartphone from BlackBerry, interestingly, come from a webpage with the name 'donotpublish', reports CrackBerry. The webpage, which features some specifications of the smartphone, has since been taken down by the company.
The leaked specifications of the device are in line with the previously rumoured BlackBerry 'Argon' smartphone. The DTEK60 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch Quad-HD (1440x2560 pixels) display. The smartphone is rumoured to be powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 820 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM.
In terms of optics, the smartphone is expected to feature a 21-megapixel autofocus rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera with fixed focus. DTEK60 is expected to house a battery with 3000mAh capacity. It is also expected to feature a fingerprint scanner and a Convenience key.
In July this year, BlackBerry launched its second Android-based smartphone - DTEK50 - and called it "the world's most secure Android smartphone." The company further said that said that the smartphone alerts users if someone is making remote use of its camera or microphone, or accessing the phone's location information.
DTEK60 could be a larger, higher-specced DTEK50 with a fingerprint sensor, CrackBerry said in its report.
