Bharti Airtel adds 2.55 million subscribers in March
Sunil Mittal-driven Bharti Airtel has added a maximum of 2.55 million subscribers in March 2016, telecom group Cellular Operators of India (COAI) said in a statement Tuesday.
UK-based telco Vodafone's India subscriber base grew 0.61%, or by 1.2 million in March, followed by Aditya Birla group's Idea Cellular which grew 0.26%, or by 0.44 million new customers, during the same month.
The total GSM subscriber base, according to COAI, increased by 5.23 million over the previous month.
In March, Bihar and Jharkhand telecom circle added a maximum of 0.97 million GSM subscribers, according to COAI.
