BenQ and other projector makers have constantly been trying , to push up the lamp life of projectors. The company has now announced a new range of SmartEco Technology Projectors with four models -- MS504, MX505, MS521P and MX522P -- designed for small- to medium-sized spaces.

What is new: Users will now get up to 10000 hrs lamp life, which will add up to about 10+ years of projection. There will be up to 80 per cent lamp power savings on electricity consumption, thereby reducing replacement costs by half. A 3000 ANSI Lumens projection lamp ensures the best viewing quality for naturally lit environments or large venues. A "no source detected" mode automatically lowers brightness to a third when no display has been detected for more than three minutes.

What else is there: The MS521P and MX522P, feature direct 3D Blu-ray compatibility by HDMI cable while the MS504 and MX505 deliver stereoscopic 3D-ready projection. The MS504 and MX505 projectors add an audio pass-through function when teachers require only sound, while the projectors' teaching templates enable presenters to write on whiteboards without the need to draw lines. The new projectors feature high contrast ratio of 13000:1 and BenQ's Colorific image quality to provide users with accurate, crisp, and long lasting color.

Price: MS504 (Rs28,000), MS521P (Rs 30,000) MX505 (Rs 35,000) and MX522P (Rs 40,000)
