The news has been announced. Residents of the Middle East and North Africa will be thrilled. They will now be able to watch the forthcoming Euro 2016 football championship in 4K with beIN’s Ultra-High Definition (UHD) 4K receiver. The beIN Media Group will broadcast eight UEFA live matches on its channel called ‘beIN 4K’.
Matches that beIN will be airing comprise of the opening match, all of the four quarter final matches, the two semi-final matches and the final of UEFA Euro, all in 4K resolution. Recently, beIN has stated that it is a first time for any pay-TV platform to introduce 4K technology and it procures its users with absolute PVR functionality.
The new resolution is actually four times better than traditional HD resolution. The picture looks more real and lively. In addition to being heterogenous, the definition of the image is more vivid. The group has also ensured that it will constantly distribute 4K content with its partnership with other sports entities and other various entertainment.
“With the launch of the beIN 4K receiver, as well as the broadcast of eight Euro matches, beIN is clearly becoming the technological leader in the field of entertainment in MENA regions”, Israel Esteban, the executive director of technology at beIN Media Group.
