After a cordial meeting here on Sunday, the BCCI and its aggrieved partner Sahara India are expected to meet again today at the board's working committee meeting in Chennai in a bid to find a middle ground that takes care of interests of both the parties.
In a press statement issued Sunday, the BCCI and Sahara said that the two had discussed all outstanding issues without disclosing the specifics of the meeting.
"Sahara & BCCI met today and discussed all the outstanding issues, and it was agreed that the subject will be further discussed in the BCCI Working Committee meeting tomorrow. The interaction was focused on the interest of Indian cricket, including the IPL," the joint statement read.
The meeting, which lasted for one and a half hours, saw Sahara Group chairman Subroto Roy, BCCI president N Srinivasan, secretary Sanjay Jagdale, treasurer Ajay Shirke and IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla in attendance.
It is understood that Sahara's request to get fringe players from other franchises on loan could be considered after discussion with other teams and stakeholders.
However, the suggestions that BCCI's top-brass has taken on board during Sunday's meeting will have to be now ratified by the Working Committee in Chennai.
Sahara had on 4 February called-off its long-term association with BCCI, which included Team India's sponsorship and IPL franchise Pune Warriors India, complaining that the latter was unreceptive of its grievances.
