The BCCI banned five players following an inquiry into accusations of corruption, in the wake of a sting operation by India TV.

TP Sudhindra, Madhya Pradesh and Deccan Chargers
Charges: Accepting money to spot-fix in a domestic game
Sentence: Life ban

Shalabh Srivastava, Uttar Pradesh and Kings XI Punjab
Charges: Agreeing to and negotiating terms to fix a match
Sentence: Five-year ban

Mohnish Mishra, Madhya Pradesh and Pune Warriors, one-year ban
Charges: Bringing the game into disrepute through "loose talk and unsubstantiated bragging"
Sentence: One-year ban

Amit Yadav, Goa and Kings XI Punjab, one-year ban
Charges: Bringing the game into disrepute through "loose talk and unsubstantiated bragging"
Sentence: One-year ban

Abhinav Bali, Himachal Pradesh, one-year ban
Charges: Bringing the game into disrepute through "loose talk and unsubstantiated bragging"
Sentence: One-year ban

Even international players hardly ban for life terms..... for spot fixing.... :huh
 
I totally welcome this decision by BCCI.
Its a lesson for upcoming talent.
1st time seen from BCCI this kind of action against its players.
 
Azhar banned for life... also Ajay jadeja banned for 5 years by BCCI in the past.
