Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is all set to welcome its two oldest franchises – Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). According to a Times of India report, they will be welcomed on the very day of ‘Invitation to Tender (ITT) for media rights which will be auctioned at the end of this ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Royals are in talks with a leading corporate that already has a stake in an IPL team. RR’s possible return will depend on a new stakeholder. They will possibly return in 2018 with a new owner and even with a new name.
