Piepa Cleary, Western Australia and
Perth Scorchers' women's cricketer,
was handed a suspended two-year ban
after being found guilty of breaching
Cricket Australia (CA) Anti-Corruption
Code for placing several bets on the
historic day-night Test match between
Australia and New Zealand, played in
November 2015.

Cleary, 19, has been charged with
breaching Article 2.2.1 of the code
which relates to 'placing, accepting,
laying or entering into any bet in
relation to the result, progress,
conduct or any other aspect of any
match or event', CA announced on on
Thursday (February 4).
Cleary later admitted the charge which
involved placing as many as six bets,
totaling to $15.50, on betting markets
offered during the third Test Match
between Australia and New Zealand
played at the Adelaide Oval from
27-29 November last year.
