ASUS today launched the ZenFone Go, a 3G-enabled smartphone for users in India. Priced at Rs 7,999, the device will be available via ASUS exclusive outlets, all leading retail stores and on Flipkart. The handset will be available in Black, White, and Red colour variants.

In terms of specifications, the smartphone sports a 5-inch display with a 1280 x 720 HD resolution, sporting a pixel density of 294ppi. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 2GB RAM.

The device includes 8GB of internal storage and can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. The handset sports an 8MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture along with a 2MP front facing camera.

The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based ZenUI and includes connectivity features such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB. The dual-SIM phone is backed by a 2070mAh battery.

Announcing the availability for ZenFone Go, Peter Chang, Regional Head – South Asia & Country Manager – System Business Group – ASUS India, said, “We are excited to announce the availability of ZenFone Go for our Indian users. Being the third largest home to smartphone users, India is a critical market for us and we intend to bring cutting edge products to consumers here, who seek power packed design sensibilities of a high-end smartphone at competitive prices.”

Lots of phones from Asus :s,rather than this I would have loved to see Asus release Zenfone Max,it has got a huge 5000mah battery and can act as a powerbank too
