Asus has launched its 8-inch Zenpad voice-calling tablet in India at Rs 14,999. The Zenpad 8 comes with a audio cover which costs Rs 1,799 sold separately.
The Asus Zenpad 8 features a 8-inch WXGA display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. The tablet is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU. The Zenpad 8 comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage expandable up to 64GB via microSD card.
The Asus Zenpad 8 comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel camera at front. The voice calling tablet supports only single micro-SIM slot and is 4G compatible. The tablet comes with microSD card reader slot which supports microSd and microSDXC cards upto 128GB memory.
The Asus Zenpad 8 features a 4000mAh battery and is loaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop with Asus ZenUI 2.0 on top of it.
Asus has also announced 7-inch Zenpad Z370CG which has a 7-inch IPS HD display and is powered by Intel Atom processor. It has 7-inch display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and 3,450mAh battery rated at 8 hours. The Asus Zenpad Z370CG is priced at Rs 11,999 and Rs 14,999 with the audio cover.
Asus has one more 7-inch offering called Z170CG with 1GB RAM and 7-inch screen with a lower resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It has 8GB internal storage and 5GB web storage from Asus and 100GB Google Drive storage for 2 years. This particular tablet is priced at Rs 8,999.
