Asus has launched the ZenFone C, codenamed ZC451CG, its latest budget smartphone in Malaysia at MYR 349 which comes to approximately Rs 6,000. There are no details yet on the phone’s India launch plans.
The Asus ZenFone C will most likely be a replacement for Asus ZenFone 4. The dual-SIM ZenFone C will come with a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixel) IPS display. It will come with Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box with the ZenUI interface. It runs on the same SoC as the ZenFone 4, namely the dual-core hyper-threaded Intel Atom Z2520 along with 1GB of RAM..
One the camera front, it comes with a 5MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture along with PixelMaster technology and a VGA front facing camera with an f/2.8 aperture.
The ZenFone C will have 8GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 64GB using a microSD card. On the connectivity front, you have 3G, Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, GLONASS and microUSB port.
The ZenFone C will come with a 2,100 mAh battery and will be seen in black, white and red colours. There were no details regarding the ZenFone C’s India launch, or the fact that it would be launched outside Malaysia at all.
