Asus has launched the Fonepad 8 voice-calling tablet in India at a price of Rs 13,999, reports IBN-Live.
The Fonepad 8 has an 8-inch LED screen with IPS and 1200 x 800 pixels resolution. The tablet comes with a 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 16GB of onboard storage, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via a micro SD card.
In terms of design, Fonepad 8 has a 5.06mm bezel and 72.2 per cent screen-to-body ratio, notes the IBN-Live report. It runs Android v4.4 (KitKat) OS.
The FonePad 8 comes with an 64-bit Intel Atom Z3530 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM, dual-SIM support and has 3G phone functionality. It also has dual front speakers.
The battery is 4000mAh battery which Asus claims provides up to 12 hours of usage on videos or browsing the web, and 21 hours of 3G talk time. It is available in Black and Gold colours. The tablet is currently available on Flipkart.
