Sri Lanka Cricket has been granted permission to hold the Asia Cup T20 tournament in Sri Lanka.

The Asian Cup T20 is scheduled to take place in September next year.

Sri Lanka has been given permission for this tournament at the Asian Cricket Council session held in Dubai.

The United Arab Emirates also tried to win the tournament but was unsuccessful
