Ahead of MWC 2016, Archos has launched two new smartphones, namely, the Diamond 2 Note and the Diamond 2 Plus priced at $279 (approximately Rs. 19,200) and $229 (approximately Rs. 15,700) respectively. The devices are said to be available starting May this year.
In terms of specifications, the Archos Diamond 2 Note sports a 6-inch QHD display with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution and a 2.5D curved screen (490ppi). It is powered by a 2GHz 64-bit octa-core Mediatek X10 MT6795 processor paired with 3GB RAM and PowerVR G6200 GPU. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the device includes an internal storage of 32GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
The Archos Diamond 2 Note comes equipped with a 16MP with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash, it also sports an 8MP front facing camera. On the connectivity front, the device features 4G LTE (Cat. 4),Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, IR Sensor, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB. A 3610mAh Li-ion battery completes the package.
On the other hand, the Archos Diamond 2 Plus features a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution along with a pixel density of 400ppi. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Mediatek P10 MT6755 processor paired with 4GB RAM. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the device includes an internal storage of 64GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
The Archos Diamond 2 Plus sports a 20MP rear camera with a Sony sensor, laser focus, f/2.2 aperture and dual LED flash, along with an 8MP front facing camera. Connectivity features include 4G LTE,Wi-Fi, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB Type-C. A a non-removable 3000mAh Li-ion battery completes the package.
