Bangladesh offspinner Arafat Sunny, who was reported for suspect action during a World T20 match against The Netherlands last Wednesday, would undergo tests to assess his bowling actions at the ICC-accredited Biomechanics Laboratory here on Saturday night.

According to sources here, the ICC had informed the Sri Ramachandran Arthroscopy and Sports Sciences Centre (SRASSC) here that Sunny, who is a slow left arm orthodox spinner would be reaching tonight.

After the tests are done, the findings and report will be sent to the ICC in two days time.

The sources confirmed that "Sunny's testing would be done even if it is late night and all arrangement for this has been already made at the SRASSC.

Sources said the testing would be completed in about two and a half hours including calibration time and then he would join the Bangladesh team.

Besides Sunny, offspinner Taskin Ahamed was also reported for suspected action and the duo are required to clear the action in a week's time until which they can continue to bowl.

As far as testing of Ahmed is concerned, the Centre is yet to get information about his arrival here, the sources said.

According to ICC regulations "every reasonable effort shall be made for independent assessment to be carried out and the independent assessment report furnished within a period of 7 days from the date of receipt of the Match Official's report."

The ICC in a release on Thursday had said that these two bowlers "are free to continue bowling" until the results of testing are known.

It should be noted that these two bowlers have been vital in the team's balance and Bangladesh is slated to play Oman on Sunday in Dharamsala.

Sunny, who made his debut in T20 for Bangladesh in Chittagong against Sri Lanka in December 2014, had so far claimed 66 wickets in 62 matches.
