Apple has finally removed a piece of JavaScript code from its UK website which was seen as a technological trickery to prevent the users from seeing its apology to Samsung as ordered by the Court.
It is not know whether it was removed after court’s directive or Apple did it with change of heart.
"It is there specifically to get the bottom 310px of the website out of view. Independent of screen resolution. This is blatantly just to get the statement out of view from most people”, Reddit user Poodlemastah wrote.
The coding was done in manner that when one visits the Apple’s site, the size of an iPad Mini advert gets increased and the user of the site is compelled to scroll down the homepage to read the text of apology.
A British court had ordered Apple to publish a notice on its website and in British newspapers admitting that Samsung did not 'copy' iPad. The court also directed Apple that it should remain on Apple's website for at least six months.
