The new Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are all set to launch in India on October 7. Ahead of the launch, Apple and Flipkart have entered into online retail partnership, under which the e-commerce giant will not have to rely on third-party retailers; instead it will source iPhones directly from Apple. Pre-orders for the new iPhones are set to kick off on Flipkart at 23:59PM, tonight, and buyers can also avail some exciting cashback and exchange offers. Here’s everything you need to know about iPhone pre-orders and offers.

At the time of pre-ordering the new iPhones, you will have to make the complete payment. Prices for the iPhone 7 start at Rs 60,000 for the 32GB variant, whereas the iPhone 7 Plus starts at Rs 72,000 for the 32GB variant. While the 128GB and 256GB variants of iPhone 7 are priced at Rs 70,000 and Rs 80,000, respectively, the same storage variants of iPhone 7 Plus will set you back by Rs 82,000 and Rs 92,000, respectively. Flipkart will allow you to pre-order the storage variant and color of your choice. You can choose between jet black, black, silver, gold and rose gold color variants. The first lot will be in limited quantities, so make sure you book it as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Flipkart is also promising to deliver the new iPhones on the launch date itself – on October 7 by 7PM. In cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, Flipkart is also offering Express Delivery option in select pin codes. For those who want to sell their old smartphone and buy the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Flipkart will also be offering exciting exchange offers. However, the exchange amount will depend on the brand and model of smartphone that you own, and its age and condition. That’s not all; customers who make the payment using CitiBank credit cards can also avail up to Rs 10,000 cashback.

Apple iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus specifications
The new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus comes with improved design and internals over their predecessors. This includes faster processors, better cameras, bigger batteries and features such as water and dust resistance. The iPhone 7 sports a 4.7-inch HD display, whereas the iPhone 7 Plus comes equipped with a 5.5-inch full HD display, both of which are 25 percent brighter with wide color gamut compared to iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, Apple says. Under the hood, both iPhones run on Apple’s latest A10 Fusion 64-bit quad-core chipset paired with M10 motion co-processor.

In the photography department, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus sport a 12-megapixel sensor of aperture f/1.8, quad LED flash and optical image stabilization (OIS). Support for 4K video recording and slow motion video recording capabilities are also present. One of the main highlights of the iPhone 7 Plus is the dual-camera setup at the back – a 12-megapixel wide angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens (56mm). Apple says, the cameras are capable of shooting great photos in low light, and when used in portrait mode, they can add live DSLR-like bokeh effects to your photos. The telephoto lens also provides 2x optical zoom capabilities.

Running iOS 10 out-of-the-box, connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11ac.. This time around, Apple has also dropped support for 3.5mm audio port and is using the Lightning connector for audio output. Apple will also be selling a bunch of accessories, with price ranging from Rs 900, going all the way up to Rs 15,400 for a pair of AirPods, Apple’s first truly wireless headphones.
