At the recent WWDC 2016, Apple announced major milestone updates for its various operating systems across devices. These would include iOS 10, watchOS 3, macOS 10.12 and tvOS 10, all of which feature better Siri integration and more. Today, Apple finally released its second developer beta software for the same and they arrive with plenty of improvements.

Apple iOS 10

If you have been waiting forever for the next iOS 10 software update to arrive, you will certainly not be disappointed by today’s changelog. There are plenty of updates including a tweaked HomeKit iconography in Control Center, to a number of word changes like ‘Missed’ in Notification center now tagged as ‘Recent’.

Messages gets a low quality image mode toggle, while Control Center 3D Touch options once again feature new language and refreshed icons. The Health app gets an Organ Donation feature and Apple Music finally gets a Shuffle option from the Songs tab. The App Store now works with Split view on supported iPads and much more.

macOS 10.12 Sierra

Auto Unlock is finally available and the same can be switched on from System preferences. For those who are unaware, only an Apple Watch can be used to unlock your Mac.

As 9to5mac points out, testing out the macOS Sierra will require a promo code for registered developers. These can be redeemed though the Mac App Store. Once you have done this, the new beta 2 will be available in the updates section.

watchOS 3

The update finally brings the Emergency SOS feature that was showcased at the WWDC keynote. Accessing it is simple as well. All you have to do is press and hold the side button. Additionally, pressing and holding down the side button for 6 seconds will automatically contact emergency services.

tvOS and Remote 1.0

Those on tvOS beta will now have to get a configuration profile to hop on to the latest beta 2. Apple TV Remote app also got a beta 2 update and introduces support for older Apple TV units and a brand-new Apple Music UI. Obviously, Siri did not make it to the older generation units.
