Customers love using Guard to have peace of mind about the family members they live with. But during these uncertain times, we want that same comfort and reassurance about people living far away. Majority of us can all relate to having family that we can’t see as often as we’d like, now more than ever.

Introducing the Care Hub, a new Alexa feature that will enable family members to care for aging loved ones, even from a distance. First, you and a family member agree to create a connection between your two Alexa accounts. Then, if your loved one needs help, they can call you as their emergency contact by saying, “Alexa, call for help.”

With Care Hub set up, you'll be about to access an activity feed detailing when loved ones have interacted with their Echo device or connected smart home device, letting you know they are up and going about their day. You can also set up an alert if no activity is detected before a certain time of day, so you can call to check in.
