All 169 stores of McDonald’s across the North and East could well disappear within a fortnight, with the US firm announcing the termination of the franchise agreement between its India arm McDonald’s India Private Limited (MIPL) and Vikram Bakshi headed Connaught Plaza Restaurants Ltd (CPRL) on Monday.

The development could not only wipe out the burger and fries chain, at least temporarily across half the country, but also puts a question mark on thousands of jobs of employees and c ..

On a serious note.... it wud hamper d jobs of thousands of employees.. govt shud also look into it... that monopoly of vikram bakshi isnt tolerated :dodgy

Exactly what article has also mentioned. True, but doesn't matter much for higher position people in the company, so they don't care!
 
Most of the McDonald's outlets in the city remained closed on Wednesday amid a cloud of uncertainty over the chain following the termination of the franchise agreement by the American burger giant for 169 outlets run by Connaught Plaza Restaurants Ltd (CPRL).

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) on Wednesday denied any immediate relief to beleaguered Vikram Bakshi on his plea seeking a stay on the termination of the franchise agreement by McDonald's but fixed the hearing of the case for Thursday.
