Season 2 was good enough to wrap things up, it gave all the needed closure. Netflix just wants to make money off the traction it got from the viewers.
Season 1 had the number cards, season 2 had the face cards, and in the end of season 2 they had the Joker card show up so maybe something springing out from there.
I've heard the original manga from which it is adapted ended with the end in season 2, so anything further will be Netflix's own creation.
They should have focused on bringing season 2 of Squid Games instead of season 3 of this.

Yes. It's pretty obvious.
The first two seasons have already covered the original comic till the end, except the Joker part. The final episode teases the Joker, so maybe that's what they are going with.
