Former India cricketer Ajay Jadeja on
Friday, quit as Delhi's chief coach just a
fortnight after taking up the job
amidst a lot of chaos in the Delhi and
Districts Cricket Association's (DDCA)
administration. As the controversial
handling of the sorry state of affairs in
the DDCA continued, Jadeja put down
his papers after getting a feeling that
"his opinions don't matter" to the
board.
Nominees of the Delhi government
had appointed Jadeja as the coach
after an internal turmoil saw three
different factions naming three
separate probable squads for the Ranji
trophy this year. Furthermore, there
was no senior to oversee a preliminary
nets session at the Feroz Shah Kotla
ahead of the Ranji opener. Jadeja took
up the post hoping to ensure that
"players would not be disadvantaged"
by the going ons in the state
association. Read More: Ajay Jadeja quits as Delhi coach
