India’s largest telecom operator, Bharti Airtel is now offering 15 GB of 4G at the cost of 1GB data to its prepaid customers through the myAirtel app.

The report said that Airtel prepaid customers who have an upgraded 4G SIM and 4G handset can claim the offer through My Airtel app.
While Airtel’s regular customers can enjoy free data through the app, some of the high value customers are getting 10 GB free data directly credited to their account.

The telco was earlier offering 5 GB of data each month through the self-care app where the customers were required to complete tasks and download additional apps in order to win free data. Airtel customers would now be able to enjoy free data without completing any tasks or downloading additional apps.

The freebies can be seen as a move by Airtel to retain its customers after the Mukesh Ambani-led Jio has entered the market with its disruptive data offerings. More such offers can be expected out of the telco in near future.

That's great offer by airtel. If the Jio's calling problems persist even after 31st December 2016, then i doubt anyone will opt for jio's services at Rs.499 per month.

What makes you think that Jio will not launch any more plans to counter this ?   :huh

Jio have very good plans now but call drop still high.so users will not migrate to jio

Call drop rates have reduced considerably now on jio. 90% of the time, I'm able to call to other networks. Now my primary calling sim is jio.

Jst an recharge away...

Yes bro, i agree jio will launch offers. But if calling doesn't get better, then it will be a issue.
I am very much impressed with the 4g speed, but on same hand i also would like to have minimum call drops, if want to port my 6 years old airtel postpaid into jio.
Well, let's see what's coming in near future... Anyways, it will be consumers like you and me who will be mostly benefitted.. Cheers, bro!
