Strangely from today, my Airtel 200 Mbps plan speed has been automatically capped at lower speeds.

Download speed is capped at 180 Mbps, while the upload speed is capped at 150 Mbps.

Till yesterday Airtel was giving full 200 Mbps speed on my connection. Repeated speedtests on the Ookla app has returned similar results.

I did only wifi connectivity speedtest by staying near the router for now. But previously on wifi was also providing full 200 Mbps speed.

Who knows if I make a fresh session start (by restarting the ONT), the speed will go to the new 100 Mbps plan speed. 🥲

Any other users facing similar issue on their 200 Mbps connection can share their inputs here.

ARPU ARPU ARPU!
That is all they care about .. their Q4 performance was bad due to flat ARPU so expect price hike or reduced speed to increase their revenue

It's not even a month yet when Airtel team said, existing user plan will not be downgraded.

And now they are doing this! 🤷‍♂️

What are the chances that this issue can be a technical issue, localized one ? and can be fixed later.

I see that the ping also on the higher side.

Saw people getting capped to 100 Mbps in another forum after they restarted their router. So, maybe technical issue, or maybe they are trying to make people used to 100 Mbps now. 😂

If downgraded to 100 mbps, then will they provide netflix?
