Activision Blizzard will begin a fervent push into the mobile gaming space in the coming years. As confirmed in a recent investor call (via GameSpot), the company’s president Daniel Alegre says the company will eventually see all of its franchises arrive on mobile.
Although console and PC seemingly remain cornerstone platforms for the firm, it seems the company is taking the financial potential of mobile gaming more seriously.
“We need to make sure that we’re enabling our franchises on the billions of mobile devices that are available right now,” says Alegre. “That’s by far our biggest opportunity, and we’re investing meaningfully to capitalize on this and to take all our franchises to mobile over time. That’s really, really important for us.”
