South Africa spinner Aaron Phangiso
has been suspended from bowling in
domestic cricket following the
independent test results on his
bowling action which found him to be
exceeding the 15-degree permissible
level on all his deliveries.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) have also
confirmed that he won't be picked for
the first two Twenty20 Internationals
(T20I) against Australia at home.
However, he will be present with the
squad to rework on his action with the
help of South Africa's spin bowling
coach Claude Henderson and CSA's
high-performance manager Vinnie
Barnes.
The tests were conducted by an ICC
accredited laboratory at the University
of Pretoria's High-Performance Centre
after he was reported for suspect
action last Thursday (February 25). He
was playing for Highveld Lions against
Warriors at Wanderers in a domestic
one-day match where he managed to
pick two wickets.
