Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), India's state owned telecom operator has turned profitable for the first time since 2007. BSNL have posted a Rs.262 crores profit in the third quarter of this financial year. Revenue from Mobility, FTTH, and Leased Lines has increased by 15%, 18%, and 14% respectively over Q3 of the previous year.
"We are pleased with our financial performance this quarter, which reflects our focus on innovation, customer satisfaction, and aggressive network expansion." BSNL told in it's official statement.
Also coming of the fact that BSNL slashed many higher validity recharge packs thereby removing low paying customers in a way indirectly hiking tariffs. Might be now they are playing the Long run game. Hope they improve their 4G and connectivity services parallelly
